Derrick Truong Joins NRG Esports as General Manager

NRG Esports is happy to announce that the #NRGFam just got bigger with the addition of our new General Manager: Derrick Truong. Derrick joins us from TSM and will be a very important piece in the growth of NRG moving forward.

Derrick started off as a pro gamer in Counterstrike 1.6, he eventually managed sponsorships at iBUYPOWER PC, which led to a position at TSM as General Manager. He is coming to NRG with an incredibly large skill set where he will be in charge of performance and recruitment for all of our game titles and making sure that our teams are operating to their fullest potential.

We feel that Derrick is the perfect addition to our team and we wanted to ask him what his thoughts on the us before he joined," I think NRG is very creative and innovative. I love seeing Shaq tweeting at players and getting involved with the org on activations, and Nairo playing Smash at halftime at the Kings game was also huge. I'm extremely excited to be part of the NRG family and looking forward in using my past experiences to continue the success here".

We’re thrilled for Derrick to join NRG. We believe his experience in esports will bring an incredible amount of value to the NRG esports ecosystem.
— Brett Lautenbach, NRG President
