NRG Apex was absolutely DOMINANT in their ALGS Split 1 Playoffs run this past weekend, earning an overall second place finish at the first international event of the year for NRG. The trio of Sweet, Nafen and Gild made their way across the pond to London, England to fight their way through group stage and the winners bracket en-route to a Championship Sunday appearance at the sold out Copper Box Arena. After a weekend of domination, earning the most amount of total points in the grand finals lobby, the boys unfortunately fell victim to the Match Point format and were unable to secure the final match point victory needed to take home the trophy, earning themselves 2nd Place in the World! The boys were clearly the top team all weekend and won over a new legion of fans in London and the 524K peak viewers on Twitch. Quite the show!

It was a successful return to the pitch for NRG Rocket League last weekend, as the squad reached the quarterfinals of the RLCS Winter Open Main Event. The trio of GarrettG, JSTN and Squishy shook off the rust at the Winter Open with a great showing taking down the likes of OpTic and M80 to qualify for the Playoffs. In Round 1, a clean sweep of Knights earned us a quarterfinal matchup with a familiar face, G2. After winning Game 1 a couple of closely contested overtimes and a dose of bad luck went the way of G2 for a final 1-3 score line. Next up for the team is the Winter Cup, with NRG Mission Control returning to our Twitch channel on February 17th!

NRG VALORANT has landed in São Paulo! The team led by Coach Chet and IGL FiNESSE is hard at work practicing in Brazil’s capital city in preparation for our first match. As the first official match of the new era of competitive VALORANT Esports, we couldn’t be more excited to make VCT history against the European powerhouse team KOI, so be sure to tune in on February 13th at 9am PT!
