So many matches! So many big moments and insane clutches! NRG VALORANT stepped up on the biggest international stage and delivered a top 4 performance that thrilled the NRGFAM night-after-night. After qualifying for the VCT Masters Tokyo Playoff with two big wins last week, NRG VALORANT continued their tournament dreams on Friday with a faceoff against top seeded FNATIC. Despite a hard fought match, NRG fell in the series 0-2 to drop to the lower bracket to make its Grand Finals run.

2 more wins quickly followed as the boys sent DRX and EMEA #1 seed Team Liquid packing in thrilling late night matchups. The lower bracket push has been a dazzling display by Victor, who has led each of our last two matches in kills and FNS, whose brilliant in-game strategy has proven to be the difference in the server.

Next up, Paper Rex, one of the best teams in Asia. The back-and-forth affair featured Pearl, Lotus and Bind maps with NRG coming up just short losing map 3, 13-11 in a certified heartbreaker! The loss ends our incredible VCT Masters run with a Top 4 finish and gives the team the motivation they need to finish the job at Champions come August. After a long season unfortunately the trio of GarrettG, JSTN and Squishy were eliminated from the Spring Invitational on Friday after a tough opening round matchup with Furia (The Spring Invitational Champions) and a 2nd round lower bracket matchup with GenG. With the loss the legendary squad failed to qualify for both the Boston Spring Major and the World Championship.

Thank you to the NRG faithful who have stuck with this team through thick and thin this season and made NRG’s gameday broadcast on Twitch and Youtube the most viewed in the league by a mile! We have no doubt we’ll be back at the top of NA next year.

After six long years since our exit from League of Legends, NRG is finally back on the Rift! Since acquiring our League of Legends team in the off-season, we have made a few roster changes, revamping our bot-lane with the acquisition of FBI and Ignar, and last week was the debut of this new line-up.

‍

The squad unfortunately did not have the best opening day showing, going down against Evil Geniuses, but spirits remained high as the team chalked the loss up to nerves, and took it in good stride. Our performance in the second match against Immortals showed much improvement, as we controlled the match but were unfortunately unable to close out when we had the opportunity. The third match of the week, however, is when tides began to shift. FBI and crew dominated the match from start to finish and put away 100 Thieves in efficient fashion, lifting our prospects for the season.

This week we'll be going up against perennial powerhouses Team Liquid, TSM and Cloud 9, on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday respectively, so make sure to tune in and cheer for an #NRGWIN!
