The LCS Summer Split is now well under way, with NRG League completing their first round robin this past week. Hopes were high for the team heading into last week following their win against reigning champions, Cloud 9, as we looked to kick-start a win-streak. The squad was able to bring the energy to our first opponent, and secure a win against Golden Guardians in a heart-thumping series. Unfortunately, we couldn’t keep the good times rolling as we lost close matches against FlyQuest and Dignitas.

As the second half of Summer split commenced yesterday, we took the rift in a rematch against perennial powerhouse, Team Liquid. Following an early gold deficit it was the young Jungler, Contractz, who took over the match, shocking Team Liquid in a late game turnaround and taking the win. The victory moved NRG League to a 4-6 record overall. Two more matches this week as we do battle against TSM today and Evil Geniuses Friday with a chance to move to .500 on the split!

NRG League has also released a brand new YouTube video, in which Contractz and Palafox take on the impossible challenge of beating a full team of silver players. Make sure to check it out!

Today we bid farewell to the legendary SquishyMuffinz. Since joining NRG 3 years ago, Squishy brought NRG Rocket League to new heights. He was indispensable not only as a teammate but also as a brother and friend to Garrett and Justin. Squishy will forever be remembered for helping us capture the RLCS X North American Championship. The #NRGFAM wishes Squishy all the best and are forever thankful for his contributions to the org and the game of Rocket League.

The Gaming Tour of America is underway! Mike, Josh, Nick and Ben have gotten off to a strong start thanks to our friends at Energizer. The bus has already made stops in Vegas and Dallas and has had several big guests on the Squadcast including the likes of Dream and Sapnap! If you see the bus on the road, be sure to stop them and say hi and see if you can sneak into one of their banger TikToks.

8 Rocket League creators, one grand prize of $50,000. This past weekend, Musty and Energizer held the innovative Musty Last Streamer Standing Tournament, in which Rocket League's best creators were invited into an interactive custom map to compete to literally be the last player standing. The rules were simple - just keep playing Rocket League. The tournament was interspersed with custom mini-games, which led to the elimination of Herculyse, Sunless, Chell, Fishrr, and Alphakep, leaving only Tenacity and Spood for the final competition of endurance.

After 32 consecutive hours of playing Rocket League, we put our eventual co-champions to the test as Spood and Tenacity had the chance to either steal or split the grand prize of $50,000 with each player voting to split and take home $25,000!

This event was a massive success, drawing in thousands and thousands of viewers on Twitch for every hour of the 32 hour competition. Thank you to Energizer for supporting the event, and we can't wait to do it again!
