Is NRG the hottest team in LCS? 5 in a row with a bullet into the top 4 may be all the proof you need.
The NRG League of Legends revenge tour continues!
After a rocky start to the season, NRG League of Legends has hit their stride. The team’s performance has been improving game by game, culminating in a MASSIVE week, where the squad went 3-0 for the first time this season. Not only have we taken down all of the top teams in the LCS, our very own Palafox was named LCS Player of the Week (a first for him and the org) after his incredible performance, all while nursing a brutal head cold.
The momentum and win streak continued yesterday, as NRG again took down #1 ranked Cloud 9 in dominant fashion. And again it was Palafox (or Palafaker?) leading the way with big time support from FBI and the boys, en route to Player of the Game designation. The win pushed NRG into a tie for 4th place and a 9-7 overall record. Our focus shifts to 100 Thieves, and Immortals, on Thursday and Friday respectively, which will ultimately determine our seed placement heading into playoffs. Be sure to keep up with all the action on our League of Legends dedicated Twitter!

This past weekend the NRG Apex trio of Sweet, Gild and Nafen returned to London, England for the ALGS Split 2 Playoffs! Being back on LAN at the Copper Box Arena made for an amazing weekend of Apex action, with our team ultimately taking home 11th Place in the grand finals.
Starting the weekend in group play, NRG Apex took their time to navigate through Day 1, finishing middle of the pack and needing a big final group performance to enter the winners bracket. They delivered, finishing first overall in their final group with a massive, 15-kill victory on Storm Point to march one step closer to the final lobby! In Winners Bracket, a steady approach to each match saw NRG land in the endgame in 5/6 games, finishing 9th overall en-route to yet another grand finals appearance.
In the grand finals, a mixed bag of navigating through to the late stages of each game saw NRG Apex exit early on a few occasions, but also land a pair of third place finishes to ultimately average out in the middle of the pack. NRG had a chance to extend the match point format to an eighth map with a victory in Game 7, but were unable to close out, giving way to the ultimate tournament champs in DarkZero.
The 2023 ALGS Championship is up next, with the team returning to Birmingham, England from September 6-10 to take on the ultimate prize of becoming World Champions.

The Energizer Gaming Tour of America is well underway with the Squad making BANGER after BANGER on TikTok! From their interviews with Michael and Franklin from GTA 5, to their sit down with Fortnite megastar, Clix, the Squad is bringing the heat! Be sure to drop the guys a follow, and check out the awesome interviews!

After a lengthy mid-season break, the Shock were finally back in action and ready to debut their revamped roster.
With our brand new back line in Lukemino and Renko, as well as ex-O2 Blast Rookie and Shock veteran returnee Striker rounding out our DPS line along with Proper, the Shock were primed to take on the world.
These roster moves were highly questioned by the community, but Shock proved all the doubters wrong by handily dismantling their first opponents of the summer stage, the LA Gladiators, and showing a more coordinated performance than they have all season. This continued against our next opponents, the Washington Justice, and the team was in high spirits after a back-and-forth match, where the Shock ultimately came out on top.
The 2-0 start to the Summer Stage was exactly what Shock fans needed after a rocky Spring Stage performance. We are really excited to see what this squad can achieve once they have had more time to gel and synergize. It is #WINNABLE!
We are also super excited to welcome back our Shock season 1 player, Danteh, as a co-streamer! Danteh has recently retired from professional play, and will be hosting our online watch-parties in collaboration with Bonchon Chicken. Yum! Make sure to tune in to our YouTube channel on match day.
