Everything was on the line for NRG League of Legends last weekend in our match against Golden Guardians. Win, and go to Worlds, lose, and fight our way through the lower bracket.

Our opening game of the best-of-five looked shaky, with Golden Guardians taking the lead for most of the game. GG swept a team fight and attempted to end the game, instead of taking a free major objective. This strategy backfired and led to a game one NRG victory. Riding the high of snatching victory from GG’s grasp, the team easily dominated game 2 with an innovative comp. Though we stumbled in the third game, the team prevailed and emerged victorious 3-1, officially punching our tickets to the Newark LCS Summer Finals and the World Championships in South Korea.

This victory marks our first top-three finish, as well as a guaranteed Worlds appearance, all in NRG’s very first split back in the League! Dhokla and Palafox will be making their debut on the international stage come October, and Contractz will return to the World Championship stage after a 6 year absence.

On Saturday, we will be facing reigning LCS Champs Cloud9 in the upper bracket final in LA, with the goal of securing ourselves a spot in the Grand Finals in Newark on August 20th. Hope to see the NY/NJ area #NRGFAM come out and cheer on the team!

VALORANT Champions is officially underway in LA! NRG started our championship journey Tuesday at the Shrine Auditorium, as the team took on the Chinese powerhouse Bilibili Gaming. Led by a quick ace from s0m, NRG opened up map 1 Lotus red hot, starting 5-0 and forcing a quick timeout from BLG. Over the course of the map, a number of close rounds fell to the way of BLG, forcing our first OT of Champions. Despite a close battle, NRG fell 12-14 in game 1, and 8-13 in the following game 2.

While an opening match loss was not what the team had hoped for, our Champions run is not over. A lower bracket run (the NRG special) is upon us. NRG faces off against Japan's ZETA DIVISION this Friday at 3 PM PT to keep our tournament dreams alive. Be sure to tune in and bring all the eNeRGy to the chat!

After a bye week, Shock were back in action against the Vancouver Titans and Vegas Eternal!

Unfortunately for the team, a virus has run rampant within our ranks, leaving the team in sub-optimal condition as they headed into their match against the Titans. Despite their best efforts, the team ultimately fell 1-3 in their first loss to the Titans since 2019.

The team pulled it back together for their match against the Vegas Eternal, dominating them in swift 3-0 fashion, closing out the weekend 1-1. The Overwatch League will be on break for two weeks following a major patch update. Shock will be back in play on Sunday the 27th against the Vegas Eternal again. Looking forward to another 3-0!
