After a two week break, the San Francisco Shock have returned for their last few matches of the regular season! With new game modes and new maps, as well as a new support hero introduced, the Shock boys dove head-first into a brand new meta in a repeat match against the Vegas Eternal. The team looked comfortable in this meta, and with our DPS rookie Probe joining the team, we were able to test out more unorthodox team compositions, such as playing Proper on the new support hero, Illari, while Striker and Probe play DPS. Ultimately, Shock denied Vegas their last chance at a win this season, finishing the match in a swift 3-0 score-line, and closing out the Eternal's season record at an abysmal 0-16.

The Shock also held a watch party at the Academy of Art University, attended by not only Bay Area locals, but also a couple from Germany who happened to be in town on vacation! It is always amazing for the team to meet the fans in person, and knowing that the Shock Fam reaches so far, only gives us more motivation.

Next week will be our final regular season match against the Atlanta Reign, so make sure to tune in and support the boys!

We are rapidly approaching the ALGS Year 3 Championship! Following a long break after ALGS Split 2 Playoffs, the NRG Apex boys will be heading back to Birmingham, England to play in the ALGS Championship, where 40 of the best teams in the world will gather between September 6th-11th for a chance to compete for the title of World Champions. The squad has been working hard in preparation for the fierce fight ahead, and they've got their eyes on the crown. Make sure to tune in to the matches next week and cheer for an NRG win.

This past weekend, as we all came together to celebrate the Grand Finals of VCT Champions in our own backyard here in LA. NRG took to the Kia Forum for a MASSIVE Fan Fest tent with giveaways, meet & greets, and tons of selfies with Wingman! Thank you to everyone who came out in person, and to those in the NRG Castle Community Discord who watched online and won some free merch as well!

We also hosted our very last NRG Watch Party with our friends in the Arts District at Bike Shed! If you attended any or all of our Watch Parties throughout the VCT season, thank you! We look forward to more in 2024 and going even BIGGER next year!
