This past weekend was do-or-die: beat the Titans and advance through play-ins, or be eliminated from playoff contention.

Unfortunately, the San Francisco Shock's sixth season came to a close, as we ultimately fell against the Vancouver Titans. We ran an unconventional roster on the opening Control map, with Max on support. The roster change did not find the results we hoped to, with Shock dropping Control. The team was ultimately unable to regain the momentum, and Titans handled things in swift fashion, claiming the series 3-0.

While this wasn't the outcome we wanted, we are proud of the team for their hard work over the season, coming together as a team of rookies without a veteran presence on the roster, and providing Shock fans with good memories. We are so grateful for all the support from the Shock Fam throughout the season! #ShockFam forever.

Last week, it was announced that NRG would be departing Apex Legends following a successful three-year stint in the prominent battle royale title.

The team, led by Sweet and accompanied by Nafen and Gild, were one of just a select handful of trios who qualified for every major LAN this past year in ALGS competitions, finishing the ALGS Stage 1 Playoffs with a highlight 2nd Place result. From the toughest competition the scene has to offer globally, to TwitchCon show matches and everything in between, we have enjoyed what the world of Apex has to offer.

Over the past few years, all of our legendary creators and players in Apex Legends have represented the NRG brand proudly. To those who have supported us throughout our journey, thank you. We do hope that one day we are able to write a new chapter for the story books!

This past week, NRG has said its goodbyes to s0m, FNS and Ardiis who are all leaving the organization to pursue new opportunities in both content creation and international competition.

We couldn’t be more proud of all three of these incredible players, who guided us through our very first season of play in the VCT. Through all the trials and tribulations, it was an honor to have Sam, Pujan and Ardis represent the NRGFam giving everything they had in each match.

Despite these changes, we are committed to fielding a highly competitive roster for the upcoming season and we know that next year can and will be even brighter. We look forward to continuing our championship quest in the years to come and stay tuned for who our new additions to the team will be!

We are one week closer to our first Worlds appearance! The NRG League boys landed in Korea last week and are settled in for the grind before our first appearance in the Swiss stage. The race to the top of Korean solo queue rankings begins now, with the team looking to get in plenty of practice in between scrims. Don't count NA out of Worlds contention yet, because after all, Why Not Us?

The NRG TikTok has managed to hit gold once again! Coming hot off the trend of "press the button" and "would you rather" TikToks, we have created a series where NRG talent react to the results of our own questions, polled through our Instagram stories. The very first TikTok of the series has garnered 1 MILLION views, with engagement to our Instagram stories also being high. The content team here at NRG is always looking for ways to not only capitalize on trends, but elevate them, and we’re excited to see what they cook up next.
