After THOUSANDS of applicants, multiple rounds of competition, and a little help from our panel of NRG judges, it all comes down to this! Our final eight Rocket League creators have been selected to take part in the live finale this weekend at the NRG Castle where one special creator will rise to the occasion and earn their NRG creator contract & $10,000 signing bonus thanks to our partners at Carvana!

By showcasing their abilities both in-game and out, our eight finalists will compete for the bragging rights of becoming the Carvana NRG Combine CHAMPION. The eight finalists will enjoy a trip out to beautiful, sunny Los Angeles where they will tour our facilities, meet peers in the industry, plus have the chance to participate in a full NRG media day with photography, content, and lots of laughs.

The live finale can be viewed on Sunday, November 12th at 1:30 PM PT on a variety of platforms, including the NRG Twitch channel with simulcasts on YouTube and Twitter. Last weekend, NRG League of Legends reached the Knockout Round stage in Busan, South Korea as the only Western team left in the quarterfinals. By defying the limits of what NA League of Legends could have hoped to achieve, NRG went into our match against Weibo Gaming with our heads held high regardless of the result.

The team of Contractz, Dhokla, Palafox, Ignar and FBI began play against China powerhouse Weibo with a very tightly contested Game 1, lasting nearly 40 minutes with only a 3,000 Gold deficit in a match that could have gone either way. Over the course of the series, however, Weibo pulled away and cemented their spot in the Semifinals with a 3-0 victory.

Despite the loss, we couldn’t be more proud of our team, our coaches, and our staff for representing NRG, and our home region, with great achievement and class. Our first split back in the LCS was nothing short of a grand slam, and we couldn’t have shared it with a better group of individuals. A special thank you to our fans who accepted us with open arms in competitive League of Legends. This is just the beginning of an exciting new chapter in our NRG’s history. We’ll see you on the rift in 2024!

This month, we published our second Insights Infographic in collaboration with denstu gaming. For this infographic, we took a deeper look to uncover how snacking fuels gameplay. By talking directly to gamers, we learned: 54% of gamers replace 1 or more daily meals with snacking, 2 out of 3 gamers grab a bag of chips while gaming to help maintain their performance, and nearly half of gamers desire more healthy snacking choices from the brands they enjoy.
