The perfect weekend, the perfect run, NRG Rocket League are the 2025 RLCS World Champions!!

In front of a massive French crowd in Lyon, and hundreds of thousands watching online around the world, Beastmode, Daniel, Atomic and Coach Satthew were crowned the kings of the Rocket League world, defeating Team Falcons in dominating fashion.

After a close 7 games Quarterfinals series on Saturday vs. fellow North Americans, The Ultimates, we entered Championship Sunday with only two wins needed to secure our 2nd RLCS World Championship.

NRG went on to make quick work of the bracket, defeating Geekay Esports and tournament favorites, Team Falcons with ease! With a combined game score of 8-1 across the Semifinals (4-0 Geekay) and Grand Finals (4-1 Falcons), there have been very few runs as dominant as what we saw from NRG this past weekend.

NRG became the first North American organization to win 2 World Championships, joining Europeans Vitality and BDS in the club. This victory is also the first time an NA team has been crowned champions since 2019 in Madrid, where NRG’s squad of GarrettG, Turbo and jstn defeated Team Vitality.

While the Rocket League boys were making history in Lyon, NRG VALORANT wasn’t too far away, as the team took the stage in Paris, France on Saturday for their opening match at VCT Champions. Kicking off the group stages, we were matched up vs. Edward Gaming, the reigning World Champions from China.

The match started off terribly for our boys, going down 2-11 to start the series on Abyss. After losing the second pistol round of the map, all hope seemed lost, but the team battled all the way back to an 11-12 scoreline. The final round of regulation looked like it was doomed, as s0m and mada were put in a 2 vs. 5 situation with the map on the line. With heroics from both, we were able to secure overtime, and eventually rolled through the rest of the series, delivering an important 2-0 win to start our Champs campaign.

Up next is a winner’s bracket match vs. the Korean side of DRX. A win vs. DRX would advance NRG through to the playoffs and secure a top 8 placement. Make sure to tune in to the action this Wednesday at 6:00 AM PDT.

Last but not least NRG Counter-Strike 2 cemented themselves as the #1 NA CS team by winning the Fragville event in Knoxville, TN with an undefeated run. The grand finals was against Ninjas in Pyjamas and it was a rematch for NRG who fell to them in a prior Fragadelphia Las Vegas meetup.  And this time around NRG came out on top, 3-1, in the best of 5 grand finals series to bring the NA CS trophy home on our turf.

That huge NRG W propelled our team by 14 slots in the VRS rankings.  We now stand on top over all other NA CS teams with the #1 rank, #4 rank in Americas as a whole and #23 rank in the entire world as of September 15, 2025.

Looking ahead NRG CS2 will be flying to Stockholm, Sweden for an EU bootcamp in preparation for the next big LAN event, ESL Pro League, that’s hosted in the same city.  Give Captain America (1 of 2 in NRG!), our newcomer Sonic, br0 (finished top 5 individually at Fragville), jeorge and xotic all of your NRG as we proudly represent NA CS at EPL.
